Florida held its primaries on January 29, 2008. The primaries were held earlier then the Democratic and Republican National Committees wanted. As a result the Democrats stated that they would not seat any of the Florida delegates while the Republicans of Florida received half their normal states. Senator McCain won a clear victory in the primary, cementing his position as front runner. Senator Clinton won a clear victory in Democratic primary.
