Indian

Indian, a wooden motor launch, was acquired from Joseph Van Vleck, at Norfolk in 1906. She served as a ferry launch at the Naval Proving Ground, Indian lIead, Md., until she collided with the merchant vessel SS Northland and sank ofl' Indian Head 31 May 1917.
