The surface of New Hampshire is rugged. The Appalachian Range enters the state from Maine. The White Mountains cross the northern part of the state. The highest point in the state is Mt. 1623 Dover and Little Harbor were founded.
1629 Captain John Mason received a grant of land and names the are New
Hampshire.
1679 New Hampshire becomes a royal province separate from Massachusetts.
